Zurn Elkay Increases PEX Pipe Manufacturing Capacity
Upgrades to two production facilities part of 50 percent increase in production capacity
Zurn Elkay Water Solutions announced a 50% increase in pipe production capacity in June.
Zurn PEX upgraded pipe manufacturing capabilities in its facilities in Erie, Pennsylvania, and Commerce, Texas, said Scott Spindler, general manager of Zurn PEX
“I am proud of our team for increasing our PEX manufacturing capacity by over 50% through increasing operational efficiencies, upgrading current equipment, and commissioning new equipment.”
Zurn manufactures non-barrier tubing for potable water and barrier tubing for hydronic heating and cooling, allowing for various use cases.
“The popularity of our PEX in the overall plumbing market continues to grow, and we are seeing especially strong growth with our expansion PEX product offering,” said Patrick Sauer, director of sales and product management.
