WiPP SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR WOMEN IN PLUMBING
Women in Plumbing and Piping (WiPP) is offering seven scholarships to members pursuing a career in the plumbing and piping industries. The deadline to apply is July 15, 2024.
Two of these scholarships were provided by the Bradford White Women’s Network, which is a group committed to advancing women in the industry through networking opportunities, workforce training and development.
WiPP’s scholarships are also sponsored by Ferguson and NIBCO.
Five $2,000 scholarships are offered, in addition to two $3,500 scholarships.
Eligibility includes:
- Be an active member of WiPP.
- Be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited trade or vocational school, or a related program within the plumbing and piping industries.
- Demonstrate a commitment to pursuing a career in the plumbing and piping industries.
Applicants need to submit:
- A completed application form.
- Proof of enrollment or acceptance into a relevant program.
- A personal statement outlining their career goals and why they are pursuing a career in the plumbing and piping industries.
- Any additional documents as specified in the application form at womeninplumbandpipe.org/scholarships.
*To apply for the Bradford White Women’s Network scholarship, you must submit an additional essay on why you are pursuing a career in the trades. Essay guidelines can be found on this site.
Scholarship funds can be applied toward:
- Tuition for trade/vocational schools.
- Attendance at industry education conferences.
- Educational fees, textbooks and class supplies.
