Lakeville Distribution Center in Minnesota recognized for excellence in workplace safety and health.
The Uponor Lakeville Distribution Center in Minnesota has been recognized for excellence in workplace safety and health. This is the third Outstanding Achievement safety award received by the distribution center which ships Uponor PEX piping products throughout North America.
“In a year that has challenged all of us in ways we never imagined, we are very pleased to recognize the Uponor Lakeville Distribution Center for their award,” said Paul Aasen, president, Minnesota Safety Council. “Safety demands extraordinary attention in a normal year; double that attention this past year. Thank you, Uponor, for keeping your employees safe.”
Since 1934, the annual Governor’s Safety Awards program has honored Minnesota employers with exceptional safety performance. The program evaluates applicants on injury data along with their progress in implementing a comprehensive safety program. It recognizes winners at three levels: Meritorious Achievement, Outstanding Achievement, and Award of Honor. The Uponor Lakeville Distribution Center is receiving the Outstanding Achievement award. This will be the company’s third recognition for Outstanding Achievement, with previous awards in 2015 and 2016.
“We are honored to be a three-time recipient of the Governor’s Safety Award,” says Bill Gray, president, Uponor North America. “The award is even more significant this year due to the added challenges from the pandemic. I am very proud of how the Uponor team continues to stay focused and work diligently to keep health and safety a top priority.”
