Valve Creates Risk of Gas Leak, Fire Hazard
Consumers should immediately stop using the heating mode of Trane gas/electric packaged units because a fuel gas valve can open unexpectedly, allowing a gas leak and posing a fire hazard.
The recall involves 4,790 units.
Consumers can contact the dealer who installed the unit to schedule an appointment for a free inspection and repair that replaces the ignition board of the unit.
