Caleffi AngleMix Valve wins Innovation Award
Caleffi AngleMix Valve Named 2021 AHR Expo Plumbing Innovation Award Winner
The Caleffi 520 Series AngleMix™ thermostatic mixing valve has won the 2021 AHR Expo Innovation Award in the plumbing category. The AHR Expo (International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition) is co-sponsored by ASHRAE and AHRI. Each year they recognize the most innovative and original products in the industry.
AngleMix has several exclusive features, including the valve’s angled geometry. Installation labor and material costs are reduced as the domestic hot water tank outlet is piped in-line with the valve’s mixed water outlet, thus requiring fewer fittings and less space. Additionally, a variety of union tailpieces are available including press, sweat, NPT, PEX F1960 or F1807 and a different type for each connection can be selected if desired.
The AngleMix is designed with safety in mind, with tight-closing inlets which prevents temperature creep or droop in recirculation systems. This also eliminates the need for bypass/return balancing valves. The valve is certified to ASSE 1017 standard for point of distribution domestic water systems. Additionally it is exceptionally well suited for low-flow fixtures, with accurate mixing all the way down to 0.5 GPM.
“We are honored to have been recognized by the ASHRAE member panel of judges, especially in the plumbing category, which is a key growth area for us,” said Mark Olson, General Manager and CEO, Caleffi North America. “This award reflects our commitment to bringing state-of-the-art engineered solutions that benefit our customers and the entire industry.”
